Great experience. All facilities are well maintained as well as the water slide! Dog friendly with well maintained sites.Kiosk on site with good food and coffee available. Had a toastie with coffee and it was awesome!
We have been coming here for 8 years with family and friends and have a great time. It's always clean, the staff are friendly and accommodating. The cafe does good coffee and egg and bacon roll. There are plenty of facilities to entertain everyone. Pool, water slides, park, tennis, volleyball, jumping pillow, bike hire, outdoor bbq and pizza oven.
For a van park this place has it all. Location, location,.. well you get the drift. Heated resort pool - yes, daily kids club activities - yes, great beach views - yes, access to multiple sheltered beaches depending on the wind - yes, great fishing & prawning - yes, fully self contained apartments & affordable grassed powered sites - yes, friendly professional & helpful staff - yes, yes, yes. +amazing view of the ocean, the lake, and everything else. the point and other beaches are very close -our unpowered camping site was literally right next to the road that cars drive to the point constantly til midnight. we got used to car noise after about 3 days.. the holiday park was full of kids running around (we went during the Christmas break). Make sure you check the site location before booking and try to book away from the road and close to cabins if you want a quote holiday. We would be happy to come back, but not to camp nor during holiday times.
It is sometimes difficult to try to understand why people do the things that they do......we have booked The Point multiple times over the years and have recommended it over and over to others for one thing only.....the magnificent views.....sitting on a cliff....in one direction is the beautiful and expansive Pacific ocean and in the other direction is the beach.....these views converge at the cliff point.... they could be seen from the main bed as you wake up each morning .....and one could sit in the spa bath and press a button to release a motorised cover from over a tiny window there and again sit and look at the views from the tub....people from the outside can only see a head peering out ....no naked bodies...it was a brilliant idea....but due to someones clever thinking....a row of trees have been planted that obscure the beach view....new blinds have been installed that partially obscure the ocean view when completely opened, and a tree was planted in front of the bathroom window.....if I wanted to look at trees I would have booked a place in a rain forest.....I have travelled all over the world and seen other accommodations that have highlighted their strengths but unfortunately someone got it wrong on this one....I have always regarded The Point as one of Australia's best accommodations that shows off our country's natural beauty.....what a shame someone thought that they could improve on mother nature
